I ordered meatball pho and it was delicious. Their phone line was terrible. I could barely hear them and they could barely hear me.

This is the beat Pho in Stockton hands down. Their broth is so flavorful. I can't go to any other restaurants because their Pho is inferior. This is a "HITW" - Hole In The wall - don't be intimidated by it's location, I have never had a problem there. The owner is hamds on and very attentive and cool. Besides the Pho they have other traditional Vietnames dishes and chinese dishes - everything has tasted good, but the Pho is the star. Go try it!

Saigon Bowl Noodle House is a hidden gem. I originally discovered it on Yelp while working nearby and since moving to Sacramento I've been craving their Combination Wonton Soup with Egg Noodles. I was in the area recently and took the opportunity to stop by. Luckily they have a parking lot that makes it easy to stop by and I opted for dine in. I was greeted by the staff and chose a table by the window. I ended up ordering a Vietnamese Iced Coffee ($5.99), the Grilled Pork and Shrimp Spring Rolls ($8.95) and Combination Wonton Soup with Egg Noodles ($14.50). The coffee was strong (just what I needed) and their spring rolls were filled with veggies, noodles and meat. I really enjoyed that they served them with peanut sauce and fish sauce and their peanut sauce is delicious. The soup came out hot and fresh and was loaded with meat and veggies along with thai basil, bean sprouts and lemon on the side. All their food items are generous portions and I ended up taking well over half of it home with me as leftovers. The restaurant is no frills, but the homemade dishes and care the owners have shines through. There are plenty of seats and it's great for a quick meal or spot to meet with friends.

When it comes to aesthetics this is not the place for aesthetics. But as far as the food. the food was really good. I had the pho dac biet. The broth was very flavorful and very enjoyable. For appetizers I had the spring rolls. They have shrimp and pork so I asked for a combination of both and that was superb. That was delicious. matcha lemonade was really good as well. Customer service was really really good. They smiled and the food came out fast.

Saigon Bowl Noodle House is located in downtown Stockton, near the waterfront. But this hole in the wall restaurant is located in a really odd area, in the same plaza as a motel (it's on the bottom floor of the motel), which makes this place an easy miss. But the locals that my husband worked with highly suggested visiting this place so we listened. Upon coming in and after browsing the menu, we ended up purchasing: A6: Chicken and Shrimp Spring Rolls, $7.95 prior to tax- One order comes with 2 spring rolls. Now one may think that ~$8 (before tax) is kind of pricey for 2 rolls but these rolls are huge! One roll is about the size of 2-3 regular size rolls. And these rolls are packed with a heck of a lot of meat, this place does not skimp on the protein (if you see from my photo, these rolls are so huge that they did start to rip). We ordered this roll set because I haven't seen chicken and shrimp filling together on other menus at Vietnamese places. I really liked this roll and thought the flavor of the chicken was good. The shrimp was also good and were big pieces. There was also plenty of vermicelli noodles and romaine lettuce. There was also a side of fish sauce and peanut sauce, placed in separate containers (not shown in my photo). A7: Pork Patties and Shrimp Spring Rolls, $7.95 prior to tax- My husband ordered 2 orders of these. One order comes with 2 spring rolls and just like the other rolls that we got, these rolls were also massive. And each set also came with a side of fish sauce and peanut sauce. Also very delicious, I really like the type of pork that was used to make these rolls (I'm not a fan of the other type of pork used in spring rolls since its bland). ---------------------------- (Total= $26 after tax) My mother loved one of each roll and had asked us to bring back some for her again in the future the next time we stop by Saigon Bowl Noodle House. Service was friendly and this place takes credit card. Please note that this part of Stockton is pretty ghetto (having family in Stockton, I have been to Stockton a few times a year every year while growing up. I was never allowed to go to this part of Stockton for good reason). Just be aware of your surroundings.
